Detroit RiverWhat a great fishery the Detroit River is these days. The Detroit River is located between two of the most prolific bodies of water in the world, St.Clair and Erie. The Detroit River, with its many islands, channels and drop offs provide anglers with quite a few options during the annual walleye run. The strong flow of the river allows you to cover a large area in a short period of time and then focus in on the key spots. These waters are overflowing with spawning walleye in the spring. These fish are active as soon as the ice breaks up, which is usually around the third week of March. Do not let another spring go by without sampling this awesome fishery! |
